About Me

I am a web specialist, digital marketer, consultant, teacher, speaker, and web and graphic designer. My passion is helping people share their most important stories and ideas online.

Teaching and Public Speaking

I love teaching and regularly contribute as both a lead instructor and a mentor with Ladies Learning Code. I also taught Interaction Design to third year Graphic Design students at Algonquin College for one amazing semester.

I am one of the founding organizers of the annual tech conference, WordCamp Ottawa, and was active between 2012-2016. During that same time, I was also a co-organize of the Ottawa WordPress Meetup Group. I have presented talks and contributed to panels and site clinics at several WordCamps in Ottawa and Toronto.

I’m available for public speaking engagements, with an emphasis on digital marketing, social media, and WordPress. I also offer private and group training in WordPress and digital marketing.

Experience and Education

My work experience includes government, small businesses, arts groups, and non-profits. I currently work full-time as the Creative and Digital Communications Manager for the global non-profit, Nutrition International, formerly the Micronutrient Initiative. I spent many years in a volunteer position as the Vice-President of Communications and Webmaster for the charity, The Forget for a Moment Foundation. I have a diploma of NewMedia and Publication Design from Heritage College. I graduated with honours, and won several academic achievement awards.
